Programme outline:

Using case studies and practical role-play exercises, the course content includes:

  • Risk management and the OHSAS 18001 specification
  • Role of the internal auditor and required competences
  • Planning and implementation of OHSAS 18001
  • Planning and developing an audit trail
  • Conducting an internal audit
  • Collection of evidence:
    • documentation
    • interviewing
    • observations
  • Analysis and reporting
  • Management review process

The course is designed for a maximum of 9 persons in order to optimise the tutorial and the exercise levels at 50% each and undertake an individual role-play interview as a part of the assessment process.
