to experience my personal experiment in 2014, NYC for 8 weeks with Kaplan, the absolute best decision was in my life.
I was the first 4 weeks of my stay in the school at the Empire State Building and it was just terrific!
It started with a first Kennenlerntag in Midtown School. All teachers and organizers really all present were so incredibly friendly and helpful. After the placement test, we have made a small city tour of NYC and ended on the 63rd floor of the Empire State buildings ... The day I already knew that I as soon not really want to leave again!
The classes began on the following Tuesday was great. I had the feeling that I was classified correctly according to my previous English knowledge. I could very well follow the lessons and bring me good.
The farewell after 4 weeks I noticed incredibly difficult.
then my last 4 weeks I spent in the Kaplan School in Soho. Again, I was received with open arms. The lessons were just as great and effective as already the Empire ...
But not only the lessons to be mentioned here. The entire organization of Kaplan was just amazing. Starting from the evening events can make it with other students so far to the weekend trips to Philly, Boston or Washington, everything was very well organized. Everyone who works at Kaplan is so much striving to give us an unforgettable, carefree time!
I would do it again and again!

In preparing for my high school year in America I decided after long Ünerlegungen for the organization Kaplan. Although, or perhaps because Kaplan is a rather small organization, employees are hearing names always there for you and know immediately know when they yours, which I appreciate very much. In addition, they were always all very open and always helpful. Even with problems or fears for the purpose of placing me was the Kaplan team always to the side and always answered my questions.
Whether very have fun with the staff in preparation or follow seminars, you could always as easy the whole relationship seems quite familiar.

I am very happy that I have made this decision. More than 10 years I have not spoken more English but at Kaplan International Colleges, I have once again refresh learned spoken, read my English, written, etc.
Also, I am learning more about English culture, mentality and tradition. Special are the teachers and staff very friendly and helpful area. Of course Oxford is learning a very nice city and the best place to English.

Unfortunately I could not concentrate properly on school me because the care of property (by the school organizes) were simply disastrous. The host family spoke no English, only Spanish. The 'accommodation' was a run-down house. Here I recommend a quality check by the school.

Effectively, it was not. Only a nice view and friends know you're talking the same language. Had a big problem because the workers there are very confused with the staff and somehow did not know what to do. My attendance was low due to the staff.
Never again. And I mean, I've booked for 9 months.

An experience which I do not want to miss.
Was concerned that I will be the only older student, who had but not so. This is a great mix of nationalities in the classes.
My accommodation was had expected better than me - much better. I've also learned a lot outside of school to do so.
And the best thing is: my interest in the English language was awakened!

Hello,
I had a great time in Cambridge and unfortunately have to admit that a month was short. The time is quickly passed and it took a good week until you get used to everything and the right people has found.
Cambridge is a beautiful city, I can only recommend a stay for a study trip. You can here a lot to do (cultural, but also in the evening a lot going on in the pubs), yet the city is not too big and you can very well move to a rented bicycle.
In general, the school has fallen to me. The staff (organizers, teachers, ...) are all super friendly. However, I would hope that a grüßerer proportion of the staff has English as a first language. Furthermore acts partly some pretty disorganized (as German, I'm probably very fussy). The classification in the levels is good and you can always find the right person, just in case questions arise. Unfortunately, I did not show a teacher competent enough for my 'advanced course' because they could not answer most questions that were asked spontaneously. So far, unfortunately not yet responded to our request to replace the teacher or to find another solution.
But generally I fande my courses well, they were fun and brought a lot. Especially the Business English course, I also found very helpful.
The school is very small and that's a good thing! We know very quickly the staff and most of the students.
Referred is to the small proportion of Germans. And in fact, I have only met a German. Still, I find it ägerlich that about 30% of Italians; 30% Asian and 20% Spanish were there. So you see often groups of Italians, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese, who do not speak English during the breaks and separate themselves. The time is often spent in these small groups, which I find very unfortunate. This allows the connection falls not as easy as I had imagined (even though I have a very open personality!).
Now to the area: I have lived in the residence Tripos Court. The location is great (10 minutes to school or to the city center by bike). As the train tracks directly adjacent, it is not exactly quiet, but that did not bother me. The rooms are small, but it works! I (and many other students) did, however, have to complain about the mattress me since this was worn out. This was very quickly replaced with me luckily (others were not so lucky and had to wait a long time). The room is not very clean and so far my room was not cleaned once, though every week should be done once. The biggest drawback, however, is for me the kitchen: The shared with five other people, sometimes even more people to cook it, which are to visit. Not everyone does the dishes properly and often is still a few days after the one or other rum dirty pan in the kitchen and the stove is filthy really bad. Here would be better cracked down.
If I were to ask someone if I can recommend a language course in Cambridge, I would say:
Yes, Cambridge is beautiful and you can fear to speak English overcome. You should, however, take about 2 months (shorter is too short and with a longer duration you may get quickly the crisis, see above review). Such a language trip is very expensive, but I think that this pays off because you really experienced many beautiful things.

The nice thing about the stay is that you then get to know many other nations in addition to 'native speakers'. This you will learn not only more about other cultures and countries, but also more about yourself and your limits. I would make it again and again - no matter what age! And the team at Kaplan is really unique - always helpful and with much joy there. In particular, I would like to emphasize my teacher. Through him I have 3 weeks more learned 'felt' than in a year school English course in Germany :) The hotel in New York was indeed improved, but at the end it was very nice.

I visited for 3 weeks to 'General English Course' Seattle. It was a fantastic time, but unfortunately all went too quickly.

I have undertaken in June a 14-day language trip to New York with Kaplan and have not looked back. In a nutshell it can be said the trip was perfectly organized that on-site staff and especially the teachers were all super nice, so I that myself fully to learn languages and explore the city could concentrate. And most important ... all at fair prices. I can only recommend!

I had 22 weeks 'General English Course' at Kaplan in Seattle.
I was able to greatly improve my English and I have found many new friends.
The teachers are great and always help if you have problems. I am happy with my time here and it will miss.

I was from 31.10.2016 up to 23.12.2016 in Miami.
- too many students in a study group (17 students)
- classrooms too cold. Despite many complaints and diseases (including me) no change.
- in the two months, no activities were held at the weekend.
- Guest families:
For the way to school I had to use buses and trains. Depending on the time of day I needed at least 1 hour, sometimes up to 1.5 straits. Communication was sparse because the elderly lady mostly about 19:00 withdrew. Change after 5 weeks: Was indeed closer to the school, but communication was rarely possible because the woman very
came late from work to home and had to then take care of their two children. Both families were not native speakers. Some students told me that their families only speak Spanish.
I can not improve under these conditions my English. On the contrary, I had the feeling it has become rather worse. In Miami 60% of the population speak Spanish, including the selected host families Kaplan. I wasted a lot of money and time. Never again Kaplan!

I was only for three weeks in school. All make an effort that is well united fuehlt.Die Lung also has fitted fine.
the Homestay was not that great. too far away and the lack of information that you can pay extra 60AUD need for the transport I do not find fair.
There was better acquainted with the country many activities and good facilities.

Clear, Kaplan is not, but to a dedicated the largest among the various felt about 100 million organizations that exist now in my opinion very personal and what was important to us especially. I did not then which organization should I choose, let alone which exchange target. Friends had already had good experiences, we called just once in the office in Frankfurt. without having the feeling to just be a number in the system, I am, but, above all, my parents were equally good advice that has helped a lot in turn also them to deal more closely with the issue abroad. We were also important to find a more flexible Orga. I did not like the idea, just somewhere to land, then just soo good, you have to say. Since the exact school / Region choice was natürlch super :) A memorable time in Canada!

Our daughter was ill during the Auslansjahres, had in the emergency room and had some tests. Until now go invoices and reminders to the guest father, as students insurance only partially, not paid after repeated requests, or. So far, we had good support from the office in Frankfurt. This was scheduled at short notice closed in August. We were told succinctly, we should but now deal with the insurance company in London itself. We only have a contract with Kaplan and the exchange year was certainly not cheap. Not once more the agreed follow-up meeting took place.

I now have twice the Kaplan language school, in New York and San Francisco. Both visits were organized perfectly and I lacked nothing at all, quite the opposite. Everyone is so incredibly friendly and one feels more as part of a large family. Exceptional service is unbeatable! Starting from sending the tenders to decision support (all questions are easily answered without you ever get the feeling that there were too many and you should now finally book times). Up to trouble booking with all the information you need absolutely truthful - just super! What is written in Kaplan and is said then is really exactly! In my case, my heartfelt thanks Mrs. Svenja Flüeck true of Kaplan International. She has always a matter of course, helped me with so much commitment and put in all respects greatest difficulty because I was not a simple case with my short-term booking and my food allergies certainly! She has everything well organized and taken care of everything for granted. I was brought in a very loving and fun family under where I was eating technically well looked after and was taken without any problems regardless of my diet. She also My weekend stay worried me a good contact to book in Las Vegas and answered any of my questions immediately! Many thanks again for that ... The same goes for the teachers in the schools, whether in New York or San Francisco, for all you are always welcome, no matter what matter is and everything is done that a well going and you feel good! Even if you Kaplan visited alone, one is never alone, it is done everything to ensure that contacts are established and held things together! for that reason alone, because there is no better alternative to learn English than to speak, speak, speak! I made early this year, a four-month language course in Perth, Australia. It was a super nice time, unfortunately, very quickly passed.
To school: a not too big school, you know very quickly teachers and other students, good-equipped classrooms, as well as computer room and library. The internet is not the fastest but it works all the paint from (am vlt by Switzerland spoiled ...)
The teachers are really nice and helpful. Not only during class. I could also after school with my teachers or also with the other teachers report when I had questions or any problems. The lessons are designed very varied so that one even at issue, the one not quite as strong appeal no sense of boredom.
Host Family: I lived with a host family during my time (about 9 km from the city away) I had thereby in which I've lived, the area only had a bus service but almost 1 hour to school which was not bad. My host mother always cooked very well for us and also by the other students, I've actually heard from some details about your host only Psoties Familen.
Otherwise Perth is a rather quiet town with many beautiful parks and equipment. The actual city is not terribly big, but you can find everything you need and otherwise you can always ask the Kaplan Staff even with such issues.
The Öffentllichen transport is very good and above all very punctual. Trains min usually every 10 to 15th In the buses, it depends on the area. but usually also clocked the quarter-hours.

I would recommend Kaplan definitely. There was as well as in Germany and in my host country, the USA, good care. In addition, the Kaplan team is open to all questions. :)

I was very surprised the first day how many activities offered at the school. I was very ill-prepared, but it was very helpful throughout the school people! The course program was very diverse: it was not only language courses, but also optional courses and self-study opportunities. In the language courses there are very competent teachers that are also available for individual assistance available. A single flaw has the school in Cambridge is the somewhat limited Cafeteria: The offer is too monotonous and the place itself is very limited to off-season al Time. The culinary skills of cooks and chefs are excellent and the food was a pleasure every time.

I was skeptical at first, as the learning success would proceed in a language school. My expectations were more than fulfilled. The alternative learning methods associated with a lot of fun and success in the classroom have me convinced. I have re-learned basic basics and my English could be significantly improved. The teachers were corrected more than helpful and often have additional work. The social activities during the weekend or during the week were appealing to all age groups. I am even mid-30s and the majority of the students was the early to mid 20, but this combination has never bothered me. On the contrary - this mix was great.
Kaplan, one day we will see eachother again :-)
