This Master's course in Operational Cyber Security is aimed at graduates with non-computing backgrounds. It provides a firm grounding in a broad range of IT skills and cyber security related subjects. You'll learn to locate, extract and analyse data from multiple sources, and to use suitable cyber security tools. You'll develop skills in managing risk, penetration testing, and cryptography. With this, you will come to understand more about network protocols and the role of industry standards for security.
This is an online blended-learning course, which can be studied full-time over one year, or part-time over two years. Graduates will be qualified to seek careers in computer auditing, penetration testing, security analysis, e-discovery analysis, and other fields.

About this course
Applicants should have:
A good first degree (equivalent UK 2:2 or higher) in any numerate non-computing
subject. Applications would be welcomed from students with any numerate degree from a science background, or a Law or business degree.
Mature applicants and applicants with alternative qualifications will be considered on an individual basis by the Programme Leader and Admissions Tutor.
For applicants without English as their first language, an IELTS score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component (or equivalent) will also be required.
