About this course

You will need to be in employment where your line manager is able to support you through the apprenticeship – Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their Apprenticeships and employment role. Most candidates will have A levels (or equivalent) or existing relevant Level 3 qualifications, and English, Maths and ICT at Level 2 (where approved English and Maths qualifications are not held these will need to be completed during the apprenticeship programme). Overview

Are you a leader or manager and would like to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours within the role? Through the apprenticeship you will work towards being an operations department manager, someone who is someone who manages teams and/or projects, and achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives, as part of the delivery of the organisations strategy. You are accountable to a more senior manager or business owner, working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation. Key responsibilities may include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring. Within the apprenticeship you will develop a range of knowledge, skills and behaviours, including Operational Management, Project Management, leading and managing people, Decision making and taking responsibility.
