Course Content
Aim of the course:This course is designed to instruct experience in the recognised, correct and safe practical applications of the overhead crane, including safety knowledge of its capabilities and limitations.
Programme content:- Acts and regulations as applicable
- Operator responsibilities
- Accidents, causes and prevention
- Radii, safe working loads, momentum
- Crane/slinger signals
- Safety inspection, care and maintenance of equipment
- Weight estimation, centres of gravity
- Overload warning devices/correct positioning
- Practical applications of the course content
- Correct techniques relative to the working environment
Novice level: 2 days
Experienced level: 1 day
9.30am - 4.30pm
Certificates will be issued to delegates who demonstrate the correct levels of understanding and practical skills.
Note: This course is a mixture of theoretical and practical work and an appropriate room, area and operating equipment will be required.
