PADI Divemaster

Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program.

Working closely with your Instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

During the PADI Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills, complete independant study and assignments. Cover water skills and stamina exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems. You then put this knowledge into action through an internship.

Divemasters are able to assist with divers in training and organize the running of dive tours and trips.

Course Pre-requisites:

1. Have logged a minimum of 40 logged dives
2. Be qualified as a PADI Rescue Diver or hold an equivalent rating
3. Be 18 years of age or older at the start of training
4. Be in good physical condition for diving and submit an HSE diving medical conducted within the past 12 months prior to the start of the Divemaster course

We encourage all Divemaster candidates to have attained the Master Scuba Diver rating before going into dive leadership.This is to ensure that they have a secure knowledge base in diving.

• Recreational Dive Planner (RDP) – all three versions (Table, Wheel and eRDP including associated Instructions for Use booklets)
• The Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving
• Diving Knowledge Workbook
• Divemaster Slates
• PADI Divemaster Video
• Instructor Guides for the programs that may be conducted by PADI Divemasters.
