This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken. You'll cover:
- Self-rescue and diver stress
- Emergency management and equipment
- Panicked diver response
- In-water rescue breathing protocols
- Egress (exits)
- Dive accident scenarios
The prerequisite to this course is that you are an Advanced Open Water diver or equivalent and have completed first aid training with CPR within the last two years. (eg: Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care)
PADI Rescue Diver (own diving equipment) - 2 to 3 days - £ 275.-
What does this include ?
Manual and Rescue Management slate yours to keep ( it is important to review this knowledge periodically )
No more than four candidates to one Instructor and assistant
All air fills and cylinder hire needed
Training conducted from a fully licenced dive boat in the sea ! (usually £ 39.- per diver per day)
Extra contingency - up to three days in case any participants fall behind
All certification and registration fees
PADI Rescue Diver (school diving equipment) -2 to 3 days - £ 345.-
