Candidates who wish to apply for either the MSc or PhD program must have a BSc, MSc or MD with an average of at least 3.3 in the last two years of undergraduate work (or graduate work) at the University of Alberta, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Where applicable (see English Language Requirement), proficiency in English must be demonstrated by one of the following: a minimum TOEFL score of 570 (paper-based) or 95 with at least 20 per section (Internet-based); MELAB minimum score of 91; CAEL minimum of 70 with at least 70 on each subtest; PTE (Academic) overall mi
