Course programme
Anyone, of any ability, who has not drawn or painted for a while and those who wish to explore their own creativity within a supportive group setting.
What modules are covered?Learn to paint and draw at your own pace, developing your own style and creativity. The course starts with some exercises in composition and colour, then drawing. This is designed to allow you to have fun and build your confidence, while developing observational and hand eye co-ordination skills. You will get an opportunity to study, different aspects of painting and drawing and try different media including, landscape, perspective, figures, portraits, tone, colour, watercolour, acrylics, and pastels. The course is enrolled termly. Each term has its own programme content designed to enable students to develop their skills progressively throughout the academic year. It is not essential to have joined the class at the beginning of the year, as each term will involve activities new to everyone.

There are no entry requirements for this course.
What else do I need to know?The first class of each term is always a drawing class so please bring basic drawing equipment – pencils, rubber, and pencil sharpener. Paper is provided. You will be introduced to other materials as and when you need them, so that you can make an informed choice.
Note: You are advised not to purchase any materials until course viability is confirmed.
