The paleontologist is specialized in the treatment of the Earth system, in the theoretical, experimental and technical-applicative aspects. In particular, it studies and analyzes geological systems and processes, their temporal evolution and modeling in order to preserve and possibly restore the quality of geological systems to prevent degradation and manage the evolution of geological-environmental processes, also for the protection of anthropic activity. The Paleontologist is a scientist who is interested in the life of the past thanks to the observation of fossils. Fossils are in fact remains or traces of ancient plants and animals. A palaeontologist is a scientist who has made advanced studies in paleontology.
