If you like variety, work well under pressure and want to work in medical care, this could be the perfect course for you. Learn the essential lifesaving skills required to work as a paramedic practitioner on this popular and well-established course. Delivered in collaboration with the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS), you’ll be involved in clinical simulation and placements in the NHS preparing you to deal with a range of situations, from minor wounds to serious injuries caused by a major road or rail accident. This course will prepare you to work in challenging and constantly changing environments; to interact with the public and other emergency staff and to contribute to out-of-hospital care in the future.

The current 2 year DipHE course in paramedic practice delivered at UCLan is currently under review. We are currently developing a 3-year BSc (Hons) programme in paramedic science to commence September 2018 (pending successful validation). More information will be found here in the very near future.
