University of Worcester has a proven track record in the education of student paramedic both direct entry students and for existing ambulance service staff. We have considerable experience in all avenues of paramedic and pre-hospital care. All of the staff that facilitate the course are currently practicing paramedics with a combined experience of over 100 years in pre-hospital care.   • Biosciences for Practice 1 (double module)
  • Biosciences for Practice 2 (double module)
    The Biosciencesmodules cover anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology assessment and management of common conditions.

  • Professional Development (double module)
    This module covers a variety of topics related to developing the student into a effective healthcare professional

  • Work-based Learning (double module)
    During this module, the student will work alongside NHS Paramedics and other staff to develop their clinical skills

Year 2
  • Biosciences for Practice 3 (double module)
    This module builds upon the first year Biosciences modules and allows the student to practice advanced assessments and skills as well as developing a greater knowledge of the body systems

  • Research & Professional Practice (double module)
    The student will discover the value of evidence based research and its application to practice as well as how leadership, mentorship and coaching relates to various Ambulance Service roles

  • Effective Care for Vulnerable People (double module)
    The studentwilllearn how to interact effectively with different patient groups who could be considered vulnerable

  • Work-based Learning(double module)
    This module builds upon the first year work based learning module and again, the student will work alongside NHS Paramedics and other healthcare professionals, honing their skills
