Course programme

Part P Electrical With the introduction of Part P of the Building Regulations in April 2006, to ensure greater safety of domestic electrical installations, most minor & all major electrical works in a domestic property must now be done someone who is deemed competent. One may of proving competence is to attend, and pass, a Part P training and assessment course.
Some examples of minor works which now require Part P include;
· Changing from a single pendant light in a bathroom/kitchen to a series of halogen down lighters.
· Installation of power and control circuitry for a new central heating system
· A new shower installation
· Modifications to the locations of sockets and outlets in a kitchen
The course runs for five days and will bring you right up to the required safety legal standards, enabling you to competently install your domestic electrical work, compliant with Building Regulations Part P. After gaining your Logic Certificate on the Part P electrical course you are able to register to become a competent domestic electrical installer, with the ability to install, inspect, test and certify your work in accordance with BS 7671.
And, after completing one of our Part p training courses you can then register with a Competent Person Self-Certification Scheme such as NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA, where you can self-certify your installation work and provide your customers with a Part P compliant certificate.
