PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
This course is a dynamic and interesting approach to learning Italian. Students will improve their skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing in Italian and they will also develop their interest, enjoyment and knowledge of the cultures and societies of Italy and Italian speaking countries.

The AS level is the first part of the A Level and comprises the following units:

Unit 1; Listening and writing; Unit 2; Reading and writing and Unit 3; Prepared oral topic.

The A2 is the second part of the A level and comprises the following units:

Unit 4: Oral discussion of issues; Unit 5: Coursework or Topics and texts; and Unit 6: Synoptic (listening, reading and writing).

Students can study the AS on the 1st year and this will provide them with an AS qualification after which students can progress onto A2 on the second year in order to complete the full A level qualification.

Some students may wish to study AS and A2 level in the same year by attending two classes (the AS and the A2 class). These students will be working at a faster pace and they will be expected to have a good command of the language at AS level.
