Course description

You will improve your personal effectiveness, and will produce a portfolio explaining how you contribute to the maintenance of a healthy, safe and productive working environment. * Students under 19 or those who do not have a full level 2 qualification will not have to pay the full fee. Adult learning grants or help from the Learning Support Fund may also be available.

Final award
Assessment takes place throughout the course by a mix of college and AAT assessments (marked by college staff) as well as work evidence where appropriate. In June students take a final exam which is set and marked by the AAT and on successful completion of the course a Certificate for NVQ2 Accounting will be awarded by the AAT.

Career steps
The Association of Accounting Technicians qualification provides an opportunity for those seeking to enter accounting, and those working in accounting to gain knowledge, practical experience and certification. On successful completion of this course students can progress to the AAT Intermediate Level NVQ 3 Accounting.

Remission of fees is possible in some cases: if you are on benefits, if you are under 19, or if you don†t have a full level 2 qualification. We also have a learning support fund. Please enquire.
Homework will be set every week. The amount of time this will take will vary depending on the student†s ability, previous knowledge and speed of working. On average between 3 to 5 hours should be allowed for this.
