This programme allows students to practice and develop skills in a range of intermediate cake decoration skills.

Course Features

Compliments wired sugar flower courses.

General equipment is provided for all classes. However, specialist equipment, materials and colours etc. have to be provided by the individual.

Provides a nationally recognise qualification in this craft.
Career Prospects and Progression

The course is planned to develop skills and confidence to enable students to progress towards the ABC Cake Decoration - 139/3 Advanced. Many learners use the skills development to start their own business.

Royal Icing - Development and extension of basic techniques Sugar Paste - Development and extension of basic techniques Modelling with marzipan, almond/nut paste and pastillage

Method of Assessment

You will be continually assessed throughout the course on practical skills and portfolio development. Final assessment is through a multiple choice examination.
