This course has been designed to be flexible enough to suit your needs, especially if you have personal, domestic or work responsibilities which need to be fitted around your studies.

Course Content

The course enrols twice in every academic year (in September and late January) and all classes are timetabled between the hours of 10.00am-3.00pm, three days a week, with no classes during the school holidays. For 2010 you will be able to choose two options from Social Sciences (Psychology & Sociology), English Literature, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) and Art & Design. You will also develop your IT and Study Skills and will have the opportunity of taking GCSE English/Maths/Science as part of the course. Teaching methods on the course are varied and include lectures, workshops, self-directed research and study, laboratory practicals and seminar presentations.

If you successfully complete this kite marked Access course you will be awarded a diploma by the Open College Network East Midlands Region (OCNEMR).
