Our British Horse Society Stage 2 stable management training programme is an excellent progression from the Stage 1 course. It will give you a thorough understanding of general management and requirements of horses' health and well being. It is a very practical course which allows you to develop both the skills and knowledge to care for both grass kept and stabled horses during all seasons.

Our British Horse Society Stage 2 stable management training programme is an excellent progression from the Stage 1 course. It will give you a thorough understanding of general management and requirements of horses' health and well being. It is a very practical course which allows you to develop both the skills and knowledge to care for both grass kept and stabled horses during all seasons.
British Horse Society Stage 2 riding training programme. This part of the training programme may be taken with the stable management or separately. Learners need to have already gained a basic, balanced and secure riding position as required in Stage 1 and should be capable of jumping small fences.
What qualifications will I need?
Riding ' BHS Stage 1 riding. We have a weight limit of 13.5Stones
Stable Management ' enthusiasm to learn.
What will I be learning about?
Riding:

- Ride school figures using the correct aids
- Ride safely in company
- Ride independently in walk, trot and canter, with and without stirrups
- Jumping position
- Jump a course of fences

Where will it take me?
Progression onto Stage 3
What materials are required?
Correct smart clothing ' jodhpurs, boots, current standard hat, gloves, short whip. Hairnet for long hair.

BHS Stage 3
How will I be assessed?
There is an opportunity to take a mock exam. Entry to BHS exams should be directly to the British Horse Society
