Course Content

The BSc. programme enables students who already hold a related Foundation Degree or equivalent to complete 60 credits for a BSc, or 120 credits for a BSc (Hons) qualification, validated by the University of Glamorgan. Study is part-time over one to six years.

Career Prospects and Progression

Core Module for BSc is Professional Studies, and for BSc (Hons) is Care Policy, Working with Families, Applying Counselling Skills.

Entry Requirements

Foundation degree or HND in Care or a similar qualification equivalent to two years of higher education: 120 credits at both level 1 and 2. This could come from a mixture of forms of study, e.g. Open University, professional qualification in social work or nursing, HNC. Mature students with relevant care experience can be credited for their prior education and training. Students should be working (paid or voluntary) in a care role.
