Part-Time BSc (Hons) EQUINE MANAGEMENT

This comprehensive degree programme covers all aspects of Equine Management and equips graduates with the necessary skills to run their own equine business. Structured to allow you to pursue a programme which reflects your experiences and interests, the course is a mix between theory and practical outside demonstrations, visits and seminars. You will cover the training and breeding of horses, equine science and estate management.

Entry Requirements

160 UCAS points: 2 A levels at Grade C or above or a National Diploma at PMM or equivalent in appropriate subjects.

Students are expected to undertake work experience in each year. You will be supported in finding an appropriate placement which will enable you to gain an insight into working life.

Assessment Method
Coursework (written assignments, reports, case studies and presentations) as well as end of unit examinations.

Progression Routes
Successful students may progress onto a related MSc or PhD programme. Alternatively, the programme provides students with the necessary skills for management within a commercial or competition yard environment, or related industry.

Specialist Equipment Needed
BSI approved riding hat, boots, jodhpurs, whip, hoof-pick and grooming kit.
