Course Content

This award is intended for students wishing to study for an Honours degree on a part-time basis. The course, franchised by the University of Glamorgan, runs over a three year period. It requires students to attend for one day per week throughout the academic year. The course is particularly suitable for mature students returning to education after a break or those students having recently gained a HNC award looking for further progression.

Year 1: Mechanical Principles, Instrumentation and Control, Manufacturing, Design, Management, Environmental Management. Year 2: Mechanical Principles/Thermofluid, Manufacturing Systems, Maths/Computer Applications. Year 3: Project, CAD Analysis, Management, Thermodynamics.

Entry Requirements

HNC Mechanical Engineering, HNC Manufacturing Engineering. Mature candidates possessing the equivalent of a HNC and relevant industrial experience will also be considered.
