Course Content
The First Diploma is a one year course. Approximately 100 hours of work placement within the health and social care sector.
Opportunity to achieve the Level 2 Welsh Baccalaureate qualification.
Opportunity to gain First Aid and Food Handling qualification.
Career Prospects and Progression
Students gaining a BTEC First Diploma in Health and Social Care will learn and use a variety of skills throughout the course, which will then enable them to enter employment or apply for level 3 courses.

Optional Specialised Units (which will be decided by staff before the start of the course) 3. Method of Assessment
All assessment is done through course work, there are no examinations.
Course Length
The First Diplom in Health and Social Care can be studied as a full time one year course, or over two years as a part time course.
