The BTEC National Diploma is an academically based course designed to link theory to realistic work based situations. As well as learning about the special employment area students may choose, you develop the skills needed to start your career. Physical fitness is an important aspect of the course, although not a pre-requisite for entry.

Progression

This Diploma is equivalent to 3 vocational A Levels (2 for Certificate). You can progress on to degree level study in relevant subjects. Students gaining a Merit/Distinction profile will be considered for direct entry into the commissioned ranks of the uniformed services. Most notably Sandhurst Military Academy has accepted students who have successfully completed this qualification.
