Course Content

The National Vocational Qualification has been designed for individuals who are already employed in childcare settings, working with children between 0-16 years. It provides evidence of the individuals' competence in roles and responsibilites relating to children's care, learning and development.

Course Features

1 academic year - beginning September to end of June for NVQ Level 2 2 academic years - beginning Sept for NVQ Level 3.

As part of your course you will have the opportunity to undertake and achieve a certificate in First Aid and Food Hygiene.

Tuesday Evenings 5.00 - 7.00 p.m. Level 3 7.00 - 9.00 p.m. Level 3

Thursday Evenings 3.00 - 5.00 p.m. Level 2 7.00 - 9.00 p.m. Level 2

2 hour workshops across the academic year together with work based assessment.
Career Prospects and Progression

An NVQ provides a qualification for those already employed in childcare settings.
