Course Description: This course is for those individuals working in a supportive role with children who present with speech and language difficulties. This is the first formal qualification of its kind for speech and language support workers, and an excellent opportunity to gain a theoretical background in speech and language disorders.

The course covers 5 units: Communication (Speech and Language); Child Development; Social and Behavioural Science; Human Anatomy and Physiology and Workplace Systems and Practices.

There are 5 formal assignments, which are internally set and marked and one assessment based on a workplace visit. This involves entering the vocational area to enhance knowledge and development skills in speech and language difficulties.
