This vocationally-related qualification aims to give all staff, supervisors and managers within the care sector the essential knowledge needed to offer the very best professional approach to managing the issues surrounding equality and diversity. The course is work-based, with a tutor visiting the student in the workplace to provide support and guidance. The course, including tutor support and learning material, is fully funded.

Entry Requirements:
As this is a work-based course, applicants should be employed in an appropriate work setting.

Assessment:
As students progress through the course, they will be required to complete a workbook including a variety of short and long answer questions for assessment.

Progression Routes:
Students may progress to the Health and Social Care NVQ Level 2.

Career Options:
Progression within the health and social care sector including nursing and social worker (but only with further study).
