Entry Requirements:
You will need to be at least 18 years old, employed in financial services and have 120 UCAS points including a minimum of 40 points at A2 or equivalent, plus GCSE Maths and English. Core Skills:
You will study: Introduction to business practice and management, Higher Learning skills, Work based learning, Financial Advice, Information management, Quantative analysis, Financial services regulation and planning, Strategic issues in financial services, Professional roles and responsibilities, Risk management, Customer relationships and International financial services.
Work Load
You will be embarking upon a challenging course. You will need to balance your personal situations (home and paid work) with the amount of degree work required to cover during the course. You will need to attend lectures and related workshops. Furthermore you will need to conduct private study after these sessions. This could be an extra 12 or more hours per week (depending on how well you organise your private study).
Assessment:
Your work will be assessed through a mixture of coursework, a project and/or examination.
Academic Progression:
After successfully completing the FdA, you could progress to the BA (Hons) Professional Studies (Financial Services) at UEA, developed in partnership with City College.
