FOUNDATION DEGREE IN HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT

This course aims to provide participants with a wide range of management and practical skills for the hospitality and tourism industry.

2.5 years part-time, one day in college and mentor support in industry

Successful participants have the opportunity to gain employment in a diverse range of sectors within the Hospitality and Tourism Industry as supervisors and managers. Foundation Degree students can also progress to the BA (Hons) in Hotel and Tourism Management which is offered on a part-time basis at Southern Regional College and in other UK universities. Participants can gain additional relevant industry qualifications such as the Level 2 Award in Food Hygiene and Fidelio Reservations Certificate.

Students visit a variety of hospitality and tourism establishments and a range of guest speakers participate in the programme. Additional workshops allow for the development of practical skills. Students can avail of Institute of Hospitality membership.
