HNC Computing (Franchised from University of Glamorgan)Course Outline
This course is designed to give students a thorough computing education. You will develop a range of computing skills, techniques and other personal qualities which will help you to cope with rapidly changing work opportunities. This course is franchised from the University of Glamorgan.

Entry requirements
You should normally be at least 18 years of age and have fulfilled one of the following minimum entry requirements: i) Have obtained a BTEC National Diploma ii) Have obtained at least one GCE 'A' level pass together with 3 other GCE 'O' level/GCSE passes at grade A, B, or C iii) Have a GNVQ or NVQ at Advanced Level OR iv) Have substantial relevant experience in employment and be over the age of 21 years.

What will I study?
Year One Information Systems Development Introduction to Programming Computer System and Networking Concepts Introduction to Multimedia and Web Authoring Year Two Information Systems Analysis and Design Database Development Web Site Development and Management

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by a mixture of individual and group work, tests and seen/unseen end of year examinations.

Career Opportunities & Progression
Progression for suitable candidates to HND Computing or Level Two of the Degree Programme. Alternatively this qualification would enable you to gain a career in a computing related profession.
