Management - Post Grad Diploma
Management Studies Post Graduate Diploma in Management with progression to a Masters degree. The main aim of the programme is to enable working managers to enhance their understanding of the processes, skills and competencies of management in todays complex business environment. This is an academic programme over the course of two years leading to a Diploma or Masters degree, which provides students with appropriate theoretical perspectives and encourages the critical processes by which these can be applied to their work.

Awarding body:
Canterbury Christ Church University
Entry requirements: Candidates will normally have at least one of the following:

  • A suitable degree
  • ; or
  • A Higher National Diploma (HND) or a similar, equivalent level qualification

In addition, they will also have a minimum of two years management or supervisory experience (current or previous in the case of any unemployed applicants) including line management, an appreciation of managing a budget and a demonstrated ability to reflect on their management practice. This will be assessed by the Programme Leader at interview. Applicants may be asked to produce a piece of written work as part of the selection process. Candidates without formal qualifications will be individually assessed by the Programme Leader. This may take the form of being asked to produce a piece of written work or similar. Please note that University guidelines for APL (Accreditation of Prior Learning) are followed. This Masters level programme is aimed at individuals who have the academic ability and suitable work experience; this is why the minimum work experience is required. If applicants do not meet these requirements, we will direct them to an alterative programme.

Entry Process:
All applicants will be interviewed prior to acceptance for the programme. An interview will be arranged at the earliest opportunity after receiving your application.

Assessment:
Students will be assessed on the basis of assignments related to their own employer.

Progression Routes:
Students successfully completing the Diploma in Management will be able to proceed to Canterbury Christ Church Universitys MA in Management Studies.
