Our course builds your skills in leadership and management and teaches you how to apply them in an engineering context. You'll explore the impact of new technologies and how they relate to management in the engineering sector. Your studies will include business analysis, product development and supply chain management.

Throughout the course, you'll develop a strong foundation in management essentials such as project management, strategy, operations and finance. You'll also have the opportunity to focus on areas of management that are most interesting to you.

About this course

Project work is a key feature of the course. You'll work in multidisciplinary teams with students who bring knowledge from a range of backgrounds. You can also choose to carry out a practice track project which allows you to work on a real-world engineering management challenge together with an industrial partner.

The skills you graduate with will help prepare you for the next step in an engineering or business career. You could work in engineering companies, technology consultancies, research agencies and other organisations worldwide.

Some of our graduates choose to further their studies on our PhD programme or with other leading institutions.

IELTS: 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in all components
The Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic): 62 with no less than 59 in any element
TOEFL IBT: 90 overall with a minimum 21 in all 4 components
If you need to improve your English language skills before starting your studies, you may be able to take a pre-sessional course to reach the required level.

You'll work with one of our partner organisations to solve a real business challenge. In teams, you'll apply what you have learnt and present your work to the company.

You'll produce a unique piece of research (dissertation) using techniques learnt throughout the year.
