This 1 year course is suitable for learners with no previous experience of electrical installation. It will incorporate the basic skills of the craft and an introduction to the supervisory areas of the industry. The qualification recognises your job knowledge and tests the skills you have acquired. When joining the programme, a tutor is assigned to assist you in developing both your Individual Action Plan and the structure of an evidence portfolio, enabling study time to be effectively managed. The course is presented on a unit basis.

You will study six units, which are: Working Safely; Working with Others; Technical Information; Access Structures; Wiring & Testing Electrical Circuits and Installing Wiring Support.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed via practical and job knowledge unit tests and externally set tests.
