WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE COURSE?
There are no formal entry requirements. It would be an advantage to own a camera and be aware that the photographic materials e.g. Film and paper can be expensive.
COURSE STRUCTURE AND CONTENT
The course is made up of 3 coursework projects and a controlled test that will take place towards the end of the programme.
You will be required to record and respond to the natural and man-made environment, to gather resources and materials and to use them to stimulate and develop ideas.
You will also need to develop understanding of the work of other photographers and be able to apply this knowledge in your own work. The course will provide you with the skills and techniques associated with black and white printing, processing and digital imagery. Composition and camera controls are an important part of the course. Preparatory work will need to be undertaken.
ASSESSMENT
Coursework projects 60%
Controlled Test 40%
