Course Description
The course provides an introduction to key principles in teaching and learning. It covers:
Understanding your role as a teacher
Understanding appropriate teaching and learning approaches in your specialist area
Session planning skills (including micro-teaching)
Understanding how to deliver inclusive lessons
Understanding the use of different assessment methods and record-keeping.
To achieve the qualification you will need to complete both theory and practice assignments covering all five areas.
