SKILLS AND STRATEGIES FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE 0 - 15 YEARS

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for any child care worker who wants to learn new skills in managing children's behaviour.The course will provide the practical skills and understanding of managing unwanted behaviour including legal and ethical issues.

Factors influencing children and young people's unwanted behaviour will be analysed, and the purpose and function of behaviour management plans including the importance of goals and boundary setting will be reviewed.

Techniques of observation will be taught within the programme.
