Using a Keyboard
Aimed at: IT beginners and more experienced users who want to get more from their computers
Additional Information: Whether just starting to use a computer or with years of using them, youll get twice as much from computers if you develop good habits with using the keyboard.
This course uses a combination of paper-based exercises and a fun online typing skills course (Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing) to provide you with structured practice to:
give you better skills and habits using computers; and
allow you to get the most from word processing and email.
This course may lead to an SQA certificate.
Duration: up to 20 hours
Location: Bridge, Easterhouse, the Colleges East End campus library and learning centre and community-based Widening Access sessions
