Course Content

The course enables the student to give and seek practical information in French in the social, tourist and working environment. The four communication skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing are developed at basic and/or higher levels.

Course Features

Develop knowledge and understanding of France and French-speaking countries.

Candidates are encouraged to complete the course in 1 year but can also do it over 2 years.

Excellent resources for candidate use in Library and Learning Resource Centre, including magazines, tapes, videos, IT packages, etc.

Develop understanding of the spoken and written forms of French in a range of contexts.

Develop knowledge and understanding of the grammar of French and the ability to apply it.

Use of the target language to improve oral and listening skills.

Provide a suitable foundation for further study and/or practical use of French
