Pathway to Working Life (Small Animal Care): Site Broomfield Hall

Course Content: Within this three-day (full-time) course, learners will work towards achieving a Functional English and Maths qualification and a work skills qualification as well as gaining work experience within a small animal care environment. How will I be assessed? Learners will produce a portfolio of evidence and select a numeracy, literacy and personal target which will be reviewed every half term. If appropriate, learners will sit a Functional English and Maths exam. Your learning support needs will be assessed and reviewed throughout the year. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? You will be asked to make a voluntary contribution to trips throughout the year and may be asked to provide some personal safety equipment for your chosen options. What can I do after this course? You can progress within Pathway to Working Life, to a Level 1 or Work Ready Pathway at the College, or to seek employment or training.
