Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma In Creative Media Production (QCF) (Games Development) - Year 1

As a practically focused vocational course, assessment will be primarily carried out by the use of projects and coursework assignments throughout the duration of the course. These will offer opportunities to achieve Pass, Merit and Distinction criteria and will be tracked through the year to form one final grade for each unit, and at the end of year 2 an overall course grade, giving UCAS points in the same way as A Level grades.

The aim of this course is to build upon the interest learners already have in the field of Creative Media Production, for example, Film, TV, Journalism, Advertising and Design. Learners will develop a substantial common core of knowledge, including pre-production techniques, critical approaches to media products and an understanding of the creative media sector. Through work related projects and coursework, they will develop practical skills relevant to the broad range of roles within the media industry.

On completion you may progress to a range of Higher Education courses such as a Foundation Degree or Honours Degree.
