Course review:

Statement of Purpose: To update practitioners and their office personnel on current diagnosis and management of behavioral conditions and issues in children and adolescents.

Following attendance at this educational activity, participants should be able to:

• Evaluate the needs of children with chronic developmental disabilities
• List the clinical features of autism
• Review the effect of ADHD on multiple areas of impairment
• Debate the issues involved in ADHD medications.
• Review the multiple complications premature infants face
• Manage the complex care of patients with Cerebral Palsy
• Discuss current approach to managing the care of patients with cognitive or intellectual disabilities
• Assess the changing needs of patients and families dealing with neurodegenerative disorders
• Recognize the unique impact environmental health has on pediatric patients
• Discuss the need for training of pediatric residents in the treatment of pediatric patients with chronic disorders
• Formulate an effective method for managing the behavior of children

Conference Sessions generally take place during the days at sea (as cruise itinerary allows) to avoid conflicts with Ports of Call or evening entertainment.
