About this course

Normally you need a Level 5 qualification (Foundation Degree or HND) in Performing Arts, Drama, Theatre or a related discipline. If you have achieved it in the last five years you will not be asked to submit a piece of work as part of the selection process as we will be able to assess your application via your UCAS form.If you have professional experience, rather than a Level 5 qualification, or you have achieved a Level 5 qualification more than five years ago, you will be invited to submit a piece of work as part of the selection process.

Course programme

You can choose to specialise in a range of advanced performance options, including contemporary approaches to acting with text, working with new and mixed media, and performing comedy.

How you learn

An emphasis is placed on the reciprocal relationship between practical enquiry and critical analysis and reflection. You are required and supported to continue your learning through individual study and group project work.

Applied learning

Work placements

You are introduced to, and supported by, a wide range of external employers and practitioners, and either undertake a further work-based placement in an area of your choice, or work individually or in groups to develop and present a business plan for an enterprise of your own devising.

You take part in a range of public performances, to which external practitioners and agents are invited.
