About this course
Pursue a career in live entertainment by bringing artistic performances to life. This unique program offers hands-on training in production management, creative technologies and design applications for live performance and entertainment. You’ll gain leadership skills to develop, produce and manage theatre, dance, music and a wide range of live productions and get training in all aspects of a live show, including props and costumes, lighting and sound, technical production, stage management and publicity and marketing. You’ll learn from and work with visiting directors, choreographers and other artists, complete an independent project and access Toronto’s live performance industry. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to work in design and production of large corporate events, live concert events and innumerable theatrical and dance settings.
Typically, a minimum overall average of 70% establishes eligibility for admission consideration; subject to competition individual programs may require higher prerequisite grades and/or higher overall averages:
English/anglais (ENG 4U/EAE 4U preferred).
The minimum grade required in the subject prerequisite (normally in the 65-70% range) will be determined subject to competition.
