Course programme

BA (Hons) Performing Arts
Mode: full-time

This course focuses on the studio-based and practice-led study of contemporary dance, theatre and performance. It will give you the opportunity to work as a director, actor, deviser, dancer, choreographer or workshop leader.

Working with dance and theatre, you can study and produce innovative performances that draw on both disciplines. Performance is at the heart of all learning and assessment, and our approach develops articulate, skilled and knowledgeable practitioners.

In stage one, you work across a range of disciplines to develop a common vocabulary for your studies. In stage two, you apply this knowledge to choreography, a full-scale production of a dramatic text, and to theoretical concepts that will extend your work as a practitioner. At stage three, you undertake a dissertation or practice as a research project.
