PERFORMING ARTS LEVEL 3 BTEC 90 CREDIT DIPLOMA (DRAMA) (RQF)

You will study to achieve a total of 90 credits from units that have been handpicked by the team to provide you with best opportunity to achieve a broad understanding of the industry and the core techniques and skills for performers.

Development of your communication and team working skills is greatly encouraged and it will be incorporated into your lessons throughout the course.

You will study numerous acting techniques including:

Principles of Acting

Radio Acting

Devising Plays

Voice for the Actor

Developing Movement Skills
Throughout the course you will also cover the following topics:

Historical context in performance

Performing arts business

Rehearsing and performance work
If you have not yet achieved a C Grade (or above) in GCSE English and Maths, you will also be required to retake the GCSE if you have achieved a D grade. If you achieved less than a D grade you will attend Functional Skills sessions.
