If you cannot spend the full 10 days in a secondary school prior to application we can still consider your application as long as you have spent 5 days in a secondary classroom. If you are successful in being offered a place on the course the additional 5 days would be a condition of your offer and would need to be undertaken prior to starting on the course. Course programme

The 11-18 PGCE in Mathematics is an innovative and intensive nine-month course that prepares graduates for the demands of teaching the 11-18 age range in the secondary education sector. Our aim is to enable you to develop into a highly effective and enthusiastic teacher who has a positive impact on learners, enabling them to progress and achieve their full potential in Mathematics and to develop a deep love of the subject. On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a PGCE and recommended for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS),enabling you to teach in schools. The course is organised in partnership with schools in Kent and Medway where you will spend 24 out of the 36 weeks teaching in two different schools.
