The School of Law at Queen Mary has a long tradition of welcoming overseas students who wish to incorporate legal academic study at Queen Mary into their home institutions’ academic programmes, normally for one semester, from September to December. Students have the opportunity to attend a selection of law classes from our prestigious LLM programme and receive credits towards their home degree.
Your fellow students will come from the UK and more than 80 other countries, each able to draw on prior academic and in many cases professional experiences from different jurisdictions to enrich discussion and debate in class.
Since welcoming the first students onto the programme from the University of Texas in 1985, over the years we have welcomed students from Harvard University, Bucerius Law School, Hamburg, University of Pennsylvania, University of California and the College of William and Mary, University of Florida from the USA and University of Sao Paulo and PUC-Minas University, Brazil, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The Semester in London programme will:
Give you an opportunity to study in London for one semester
Allow you to choose from a selection of LLM modules and study alongside the LLM students
Give you access to all the resources available to Queen Mary postgraduate law students.
