You will be working in the pharmacy setting supervised by a pharmacist gaining skills to be able to dispense medicines and contribute to the running of a pharmacy workplace. You will cover units such as health and safety, processing queries, issuing medicines according to prescriptions.

Course programme
Entry Requirements
You will need a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including English, Maths and Science. You must also be currently employed for a minimum of 15 hours working within the pharmacy sector under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Delivery and Assessment
There are a combination of assessment methods for this award. You will be assigned an assessor who will directly observe your practice and you will be expected to evidence some activities by completing a performance evidence record.
Progression
This qualification is part of an approved training scheme that allows you to work as a Pharmacy Technician. It can be studied alongside the Level 3 in pharmaceutical sciences enabling you to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
