About this course
This course is free if you are aged between 19 and 23 and you don’t yet have a full level 2 or 3 qualification (depending on your level of study). Otherwise, a fee is payable. You need to be in full-time employment in the pharmacy sector and have your manager’s permission to take the course. Additionally GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent in maths and English is desirable.

Year 1
You will need to complete three mandatory units and a minimum of four units demonstrating competency in the workplace. Observation will be required by your assessor to show competency. Written evidence will also be needed to demonstrate knowledge and understanding as well as reflective accounts of your working practice. In addition there will be a minimum of six assignments to complete as part of your technical certificate.
