Affiliated centers/departments:

The department’s faculty members have a wide variety of contacts to other political science departments around the world, which are frequently used to connect PhD students with other scholars in their field of expertise.

Geographic location:

The programme is located at Campus Aarhus. PhD students are part of the department’s faculty and are as all other faculty members required to be present at least three days a week. PhD students present their project to the department twice; once at the beginning of the project and once shortly before completion. Participation in these representations, of which there are around 12 per semester, is mandatory for the other PhD students.

Courses:

The programme offers courses in research design, quantitative methodology, and qualitative methodology. Most of the courses are designed and taught in cooperation with the Department of Political Science at the University of Southern Denmark.
