Programme structure
Year 1:

  • Microeconomics
  • Macroeconomics
  • Quantative Methods (Mathematics and Statistics)
  • Introduction to Philosophy A and B
  • Introduction to Formal Logic
  • Choose from: Philosophical texts 1, 2, 3 or 4; Introduction to Science
  • One third of the year is spent in Philosophy

Year 2:

  • Microeconomics
  • Macroeconomics
  • Options in Economics, Finance, Management, Accounting or another Social Science
  • Realism
  • Normativity
  • Plus at least two units from:

- Epistemology
- Political Philosophy
- Philosophy of Mind
- Ethics
- Philosophy of Language
- Logic 2
- Philosophy of Science
- Philosophy of Mathematics
- or other second-year unit offered Half of year is spent in the other department

Year 3:

  • Three options in Economics
  • Two Philosophy optional units
  • One extended essay
